Dosage and Preparation:
- Use VetRx warm by adding one teaspoonful to one cup of very warm water.
- Administer a few drops of the solution directly down the throat of the bird at night.
- Rub some warm VetRx over the head and under the wings of the birds.
Directions for Use:
- Open the bird's mouth while turning its head to the side and tilting down to see the cleft in the roof of the mouth.
- Dip a small cotton swab into the warm VetRx and press it into the cleft slowly.
- Watch for VetRx to come from each side of the bird's beak and the corners of each eye. Clean the eyes and allow the bird to rest. Repeat treatment 2 or 3 times if necessary.
For Flock Care:
- The solution can be sprayed over as many birds as possible. Ensure plenty of clean, cool drinking water is available for the flock. Add a few drops of the solution to the drinking water each time it is changed.
For Show Birds:
- Place a few drops of the solution under one wing. After shows, keep birds separate from the flock for a week. When shanks appear dry, rub a small amount of cold VetRx from the bottle and repeat every 3 days until the birds are no longer dry.
For Breeding:
- Keep 3 quarts of lay mash indoors for a few hours until it reaches room temperature. Warm a bottle of VetRx and pour the entire bottle into the mash, mixing well. Let it stand overnight. The next day, store the solution in a container with a tight lid for 2 weeks. Mix 1 tablespoon of treated mash into the feed daily for every 20 birds.
